London International Shipping Week to go ahead in September

Shipping gathering in London will be a mix of in-person and virtual events say organisers.
Organisers of the London International Shipping Week 2021 (LISW21), Shipping Innovation, say they have committed to holding an in-person and virtual event from 13th to 17th September.
Their aim is to give some certainty to delegates, sponsors and supporting organisations. The move marks growing confidence that the UK will successfully move out of lockdown over the course of the spring and summer, following mass vaccination.
Shipping Innovation promises an “agile” event that will be flexible enough to take into account any remaining Covid-19 restrictions. John Hulmes, chair of the LISW21 steering committee, said:
“After a year of international lockdown, the shipping industry is keen to once again conduct business face-to-face. I am delighted that London International Shipping Week 2021 will go ahead in September and we are working on several strategies and scenarios to enable the event to deliver the valuable interactions which our delegates, sponsors and supporters expect, whatever restrictions may be in place at the time.”
