TS Lines has inked a deal for four new containerships from SWS. The deal for the 7,000 teu vessels is worth $300m and delivery is expected during April and November of 2024.

The ships are new-generation, energy efficient, mid-size, and were designed by the Shanghai Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI). They have a LOA of 272.5 metres and a beam of 42.8 metres.

The new order will bring Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding’s 7,000 teu containership orders on hand to more than 10 vessels and will complement TS-Lines existing fleet of 46 containerships and their 100,000 fleet capacity.
