Maersk Drilling has secured additional work for the low-emission jack-up rig Maersk Intrepid in the Martin Linge field offshore of Norway. Equinor Energy AS exercised an option to add extra well-intervention work to the rig’s previously agreed work scope.

The addition will have a duration of 31 days, meaning Intrepid is now contracted until February 2022. The firm value of the extension is approximately USD 10.5m.

Maersk Intrepid is an ultra-harsh environment CJ70 jack-up rig designed for year-round operations in the North Sea. It features hybrid, low-emission upgrades and was delivered in 2014.
