Ever Given Docks in Rotterdam

Publisert

Just under four months after getting stranded in the Suez Canal, the huge cargo ship Ever Given has finally reached its destination in Rotterdam.

After gaining the green light from the Suez Canal Authority, the 20,000 TEU containership has continued its voyage to Rotterdam (SCA).

According to statistics from Marine Traffic, the boxship arrived in Rotterdam’s container terminal at 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 29.

It anchored at the port basin on the Amazonehaven docks in Maasvlakte.

It is anticipated that the ship will remain in Rotterdam from the beginning of August until the end of the month, when it will offload the 18,000 containers at the ECT Delta Terminal.

This boxship, flagged in Panama, drew to a halt on March 23, generating a significant traffic jam for global trade.

The tugboats and dredging vessels took part in the operation to release the vessel six days after the salvage.
