Vaccine Mandate Measures Encouraged by Maritime Campuses

Publisert

Over time, as Canadian post-secondary institutions across the country state that vaccinations are required, Maritime universities have maintained the belief that education and awareness are key.

In an effort to minimize threat on campus, many schools across the country have mandated COVID-19 vaccinations for on-campus students and staff.

Most maritime-based universities are continuing to promote vaccination programs, but not going so far as to require it.

While there is an exception, all new residential students at Cape Breton University must first obtain a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine before moving in.

A majority of the 90 percent of prospective students in Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, and St. Thomas University in Fredericton expect to be completely vaccinated by September, based on an informal survey they recently completed.
