The Indian Navy has delivered much-needed liquid medical oxygen (LMO) to Indonesia. The landing ship INS Airavat arrived at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta earlier today.

After unloading the 10 LMO containers, the Airavat will continue its voyage and deliver supplies to other friendly nations in the region.

The INS Airavat‘s primary role is to carry out amphibious operations, but she is also configured to perform Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) missions and has been involved in several relief efforts in the Indian Ocean in recent years.

On a previous visit to Indonesia she delivered 5 LMO containers and 30 oxygen concentrators.
