A Video Game on How to Steer a Container Ship

Loosely based on the Ever Given container ship being stuck in the Suez Canal in 2021, 36-year-old amateur game developer from Bangkok named Napas “Jet” Toteeka, said he was inspired by the story.

Toteeka’s project is an indie PC game called “Whatever”,  in which he created a simulation game where you control a huge container ship moving it through intricate canal passageways. Toteeka stated that this game will take time to complete as it’s difficult to steer and maneuver through the simulation just as a real container ship.

September will see the release of an “early access” version of the game.
