Full Operations of Oil Production Restart After 2 Week Closure

Publisert

After 2 weeks of disruptions, the largest U.S. privately owned deep water crude terminal Louisiana Offshore Oil Port (LOOP), announced on September 10 that they are now operating at full capacity.

Major damage was done to the coast and to the U.S. Gulf of Mexico’s oil production after Hurricane Ida struck the area which caused the closure of ports even days before the storm and stopped the production of imports and exports.

On September 9th, Royal Dutch Shell which is the United States largest offshore producer announced force majeure on various contracts.
