Jordan Makes Plans for New Cruise Terminal

A firsts of firsts and new of new state of the art design for a new cruise terminal project at Marsa Zayed in Aqaba, Jordan was announced by AD Ports Group.

The Port of Aqaba will be the location of the countries first cruise terminal that will not be located in the United Arab Emirates. With plans to be a tourist attraction that has entertainment services, commercial businesses and more, this project is expected to expand Jordan’s maritime industry.

Due to its location at the Port of Aqaba, this cruise terminal will serve passengers who are cruising the Red Sea.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Group CEO, AD Ports Group, said: “We are pleased and proud to sign this strategic agreement with the Aqaba Development Corporation. The creation and operation of a new cruise terminal at Marsa Zayed will be a milestone for Jordan’s fast-growing cruise and tourism sector and is the first of many enhancement projects that we have planned.”
