Van Oord Purchases Installation Vessel for Wind Turbines
A purchase for a wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) was made by Van Oord who is know for operating in the offshore wind farm installation market.
The WTIV is considered a “mega” vessel as it can install 20 MW offshore wind turbines.
Designed by Knud E Hansen, Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard in China is expected to deliver the vessel in 2024.
