Medevac for Two Injured Crewmen at Sea

Details are still emerging from an incident on October 8 in Italy when two crew members needed to be medevacked from a vessel at sea.

Panama-flagged Helen H was on journey near Chioggia port, Italy heading to Alexandria Egypt when a fire rescue helicopter team was dispatched to medevac two crew members off the 5278 T DWT carrying capacity vessel.

At this time, the specific incident that caused the injuries and even the extent of the injuries to the crewmen is still unknown.

Two flights needed to be made by the fire rescue team to securely lift the men and take them to the hospital.
