Dalian Shipbuilding Wins LNG Newbuild Contract

Publisert

A collaborative venture between Equinor, Shell and TotalEnergies to develop ways via ship-to-terminal on how to transport CO2 effectively brings Dalian Shipbuilding Industry (DSIC) into the equation for completion.

Recently awarded the contract, DSIC will construct two liquified natural gas (LNG) powered CO2 carriers at 7,500 cu m and 130 meters long that will also have the ability to decrease an estimated 34% of carbon intensity.

Early 2024 should expect the first vessel to be delivered.
