Crew of 7 Rescued Amid Rough Seas in Taiwan Strait

Publisert

On October 28 Lucky, a Sierra Leone-flagged general cargo vessel was apparently anchored in the Taiwan Strait and taking on water in the rough seas.

The Coast Guard was deployed to the area to rescue the 7 crew-members aboard, 2 Indonesian and 5 Burmese Nationals, in fear of the ship sinking.

The ship was towed and the crew-members were relocated to Taichung Port in Taiwan where they underwent Covid-19 quarantine protocols to be sure all were healthy.

No injuries were reported.
