New Hydrofoil Ferry Concept Design Released
Hydrofoil Technology for Ferry Concept Design Debuted
California-based start-up Boundary Layer Technologies which specializes in marine technology just released their ferry concept design featuring hydrofoil technology called “Electra”.
Encompassing the hydrofoil technology, Electra will have the capabilities to travel up to 100 nautical miles with a cruising speed of 40 knots which is approximately twice the speed of current electric ferries in use.
The CEO of Boundary Layer Technologies said, “Hydrofoil technology is the key to enabling electrification of passenger ferries.”
