Maersk to Long Term Invest with Saudi Arabia

A new long term 25 year $136 million investment agreement was announced between Maersk and Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) to create the greenfield project, a first ever of it’s kind project at the Saudi Arabian port in over a 205,000m2 area.

The goal is connect and simplify logistics and supply chains for importers and exporters.

In the agreement, an Integrated Logistics Park at the Jeddah Islamic Port will be developed to serve as warehouse and distribution center, cold storage and also support with transhipments, air freight and other cargo.
