No Injuries After Two Ships Strike Each other in Bangkok River

Two vessels headed in completely opposite directions happened to strike each other in Bangkok, Thailand’s Chao Phraya River on the morning of November 2.

After departing the Bangkok Port and on journey to Laem Chabang Port, the O.P.K. 3 was struck on the left side by the NP Pathan Thani vessel heading upstream to the Khlong Toey harbor in Bangkok around 11am.

Both vessels were loaded with containers which the police and other marine officials were able to remove 51 from the O.P.K. 3 as it began to intake water and yet rest within shallow waters nearby where it currently resides with buoy barriers.
