A 6% Increase to Transit Tolls in Suez Canal
On November 4 it was finalized and announced that the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) will impose a 6% increase of transit tolls for vessels traveling through the canal in 2022.
Beginning in February 2022 all vessels traveling through the Suez Canal will pay the increase. Cruise ships and liquified natural gas (LNG) vessels have been spared of the increase due to detailed reasons.
