Ransomware Attack at Swire PacificOffshore Causes Loss of Data
An unconfirmed cyber attack occurred at Singapore-based Swire Pacific Offshore (SPO) resulting in a loss of data and confidential information that has been confirmed by ransomware group CI0p after updating their blog advising of the hack.
SPO is in clean up mode and has reported the incident to officials as well as informing people who may have possibly been affected by the breach.
SPO released a statement that said, “SPO has taken immediate actions to reinforce existing security measures and to mitigate the potential impact of the incident. It takes a serious view of any cyber attack or illegal accessing of data or any unlawful action that potentially compromises the privacy or confidentiality of data, and will not be threatened by such actions.”
