Major Fire Aboard Bulk Carrier in Sweden
Bulk Carrier Carrying Lumber Catches Fire
On December 4 a Liberia-flagged bulk carrier with 17 crew members aboard carrying timber caught fire while anchored at Gothenburg, Sweden.
Multiple firefighters were battling the blaze aboard the Almirante Storni a 2012-built vessel with little success.
The fire continued throughout the night as firefighters were still currently battling the blaze on Sunday.
The fire is reportedly raging in the cargo hold.
