Eneti Inc. Announces Newbuild Option Exercised with DSME

Eneti Inc. has decided to act upon on option that it currently has with Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) by announcing they’ve ordered an additional newbuild Wind Turbine Installation Vessel (WTIV) to be built by the South Korean company for $326 million.

Designed by GustoMSC the WTIV will be the NG-16000X design which has the capability to install 20 megawatt (MW) turbines at depths of 65 meters.

The vessel is expected to be ready for delivery in 2025.
