Panama and UAE Sign Newly Recognized MOU Regarding Seafarers
An Memorandum of Understanding was recently signed and established between the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE and the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) at the International Maritime Organization to include and cover safety measures, knowledge and training, and mutual recognition of certificates of competency in regards to either parties vessels.
“Seafarers are at the heart of our industry and are the drivers of the global supply chain. It is our duty to ensure that we work towards their welfare,” stated H.E. Hessa Al Malek, Advisor to the Minister for Maritime Transport Affairs, UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
