2021 Becomes Record Changing Year for South Carolina Ports

South Carolina Ports reports that their cargo volumes hit an all time record high for 2021.

Owning sites like the Port of Charleston, the Port of Georgetown, Inland Port Greer and Inland Port Dillon, SC Ports advised that collectively operations at its container terminals have handled 2.75 million TEUs in 2021 with a 19% increase in cargo volumes in comparison to the previous year.

SC Ports CEO Jim Newsome stated, “2021 was a truly banner year for South Carolina Ports,” he continued. “Amid tremendous and ongoing supply chain challenges, we handled record-breaking cargo volumes, while consistently providing capacity and fluidity for our customers.”
