Shell Changes its Name and Moves Headquarter Office
Shell’s Board Does Name Change
On January 21, 2022, after announcing in November 2021 that it was making plans to do so, it became official as shell dropped the Royal Dutch from its name to simply, Shell plc.
Later this month, the London, Amsterdam and NY stock exchanges will update and reflect the new name change.
In addition to the name change, Shell has decided to move its headquarters office from The Hague, Netherlands to London.
Shell released a statement that said, “Shell announced the Board’s decision to change its name to Shell plc on December 20, 2021. This change has now taken effect.”
