Sea-Intelligence, a Denmark based research company has released new data on global liner delays in order to measure the impact of current port congestion. Their research concluded that February 2022 saw an 11.6% loss in liner capacity. However, this is a 2.1% improvement from January numbers.

Sea-Intelligence noted that the data for February would likely need to be updated, as some delays have been incredibly long and data won’t be available until next month.

The CEO of Sea-Intelligence, Alan Murphy, said, “Using the monthly adjustments of the past year, the February 2022 capacity absorption will likely be 11.7%-11.8%.”
