Conrad Shipyard Contracted for New Tugs

Conrad Shipyard, located in Los Angeles, California, United States, has won a contract worth nearly US$ 17 million from the United States Army Corps of Engineers for two newbuild CELRE Detroit Ice Class tugboats.

The tugs, expected to be delivered at the end of 2024, will service the Great Lakes—which are located between the borders of the United States and Canada—by mobilizing various equipment, as well as breaking ice.
