Additional Installation Vessel Ordered for Eneti
Eneti Spends an Additional $326m on Installation Vessel
On November 2 offshore wind installation company Eneti exercised an option to a previously made agreement with South Korea-based Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) and ordered the construction of an additional wind turbine installation vessel (WTIV) which is expected to be delivered in 2025.
The agreement price for the new NG-16000X jack-up unit that has the capabilities to install up to 20 megawatt turbines at depths of 65 meters is $326m.
