Italian Energy Company Eni Reports a $1.1 Billion Profit

Eni, the Italian energy company reported that in the second quarter of 2021, it made a net profit of 247 million euros, also stating that 4.4 billion euros was lost in the same time period of last year. 

In the first half of the year, Eni reported the net profit of the corporation was $1.1 billion. In 2020, Eni suffered a first-half of loss of 7.3 billion euros.

In the second quarter, Eni’s revenue was 16.6 billion euros, whereas in the first half it was 31.4 billion euros.

In a press release, the company reported that good impacts were gained from strong commodity and energy prices, while negative impacts resulted from the coronavirus epidemic.
