Esvagt’s new SOV to start work at Moray East
The Esvagt Alba is set to start its contract in the UK with wind turbine maker Vestas.
Danish shipowner, Esvagt, has announced that its newbuild service operation vessel (SOV), Esvagt Alba, will start work at the Moray East wind farm off the coast of Scotland.
The new vessel was delivered last week by Havyard to Fraserburgh for final marine surveys before starting work as the operational and maintenance base for the offshore site.
The offshore wind farm is being developed by Moray Offshore Windfarm East Ltd. which is a joint venture between Ocean Winds, Diamond Green Ltd., and CTG.
The Alba is the second of three purpose-built SOVs that Esvagt has built for Vestas.
