Steel Exports Rise for Vietnam

Vietnam currently has the capacity to produce approximately 24 million tons of steel a year and this year alone due to demand, it’s forecasted to produce around 21.2 million tons.

Southeast Asia has been one of their main markets for export, including China which has purchased 1.8m tons, and Europe and the US increasing their exports 4-7 fold within the past year.

Vietnam reported a 43.4% year-on-year rise in steel exports.
