Storm Beaches Ferry with 81 Passengers Aboard in Indonesia
Indonesian Storm Causes Emergency Exit Aboard Ferry
On November 28 the 2008-built KM Entebe Express was leaving Mamuju Port in Indonesia heading towards Balikpapan, Kalimantan when it encountered a storm near the Mamuju Regency Coast causing the ferry carrying 81 passengers and 18 crew to beach near the coast.
All passengers and crew were able to escape the vessel using the safety means aboard, life rafts and lifeboats and make it to shore.
No injuries were reported.
