Sailors Injured During Fire Aboard and Indian Navy Destroyer Ship
Fire Aboard Indian Navy Vessel Results in Sailor Injuries
On October 23 around 5:30pm a fire broke out aboard the INS Ranvijay, which had recently returned from a sea exercise and was berthed at Visakhapatnam Naval Base in India.
Four sailors received injuries while trying to battle the fire aboard the Indian Navy destroyer.
The sailors were transported to a naval hospital to receive treatment and an investigation has been opened to understand what caused the fire and flooding to occur.
