VIDEO: Luxury Yacht Catches Fire in Thailand
Possible Battery Blamed for Luxury Yacht in Flames
On January 11 calls were made to the Na Jomtien Police to an area near Na Jomtien sub-district in the Sattahip district near Pattaya, Thailand of a fire aboard a vessel.
Four fire engines were called to the marina as the luxury yacht was consumed by fire and smoke which took an estimated thirty minutes to extinguish.
Officials estimate damages of the vessel around 20 million baht (US$600,000).
An investigation has been called for the cause yet it appears an issue with the battery system may have occurred.
