XOCEAN Expands its Fleet with New Surface Vehicle Launch
XOCEAN has just launched its new unmanned surface vehicle (USV), an XO-450 USV that is 4.5-meters long and capable at traveling up to 4 knots while monitoring fisheries, data on the environment, and conducting other surveys.
The new USV collects ocean data with a more carbon-neutral solution as it’s a hybrid vessel powered by a solar deck and lithium-ion batteries along with a micro diesel generator which allows the USV to stay on the waters for at least 18 days.
