As the Russia-Ukraine war continues, so too do Western sanctions on Russia. On Friday, April 8th, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated that the country may end oil imports from Russia by the end of the year.
Reportedly, Germany’s imports of Russian oil has slowed by 10% compared to before Russia invaded Ukraine.
Additionally, scheduled in August, a coal import ban against the country is set to begin.
