G7 Calls Out Iran for Attack on Mercer Street

Offentliggjort

The foreign ministers from The Group of Seven (G7), a collection of seven governments, which include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States have condemned the “deliberate and targeted attack” on the MT Mercer Street in the waters off Oman, saying it was a clear violation of international law and almost certainly carried out by Iran.

The G7, in conjunction with the EU High Representative, issued a joint statement on Aug 6th in which they make clear that the alliance stands united in their commitment to maritime security and the protection of commercial shipping.

Israel, the United States, and the United Kingdom all agree that intelligence indicates that the Mercer Street bombing was carried out by an Iranian drone.
