ONE opens own container depot in the Port of Hamburg
Container giant enters partnership with United Container Services.
Ocean Network Express has opened a dedicated container depot in the Port of Hamburg in partnership with United Container Services.
The exclusive facility has a capacity of 4,000 TEU and 25 reefer plugs encompassing an area of 60,000 square metres.
The new depot at Hamburg comes soon after the company opened a similar facility at the Port of Rotterdam.
Johan Pijpers of ONE (Europe) Ltd commented, “Depot yard space in most European and African ports is being reduced and for that reason our strategy is to start long term partnerships with our most valued suppliers where we see opportunities.
