Reederei Hamburger Lloyd sells last containerships to Hapag-Lloyd
Tonnage provider sells final two wide-beam vessels to German liner operator.
German liner operator, Hapag-Lloyd has bought the last in a series of containerships from Reederei Hamburger Lloyd.
Hapag-Lloyd acquired the 2012-built, 4,620-teu RHL Concordia and RHL Conscientia, but said the vessels will remain under the technical management of the Hamburg-based ship manager. The new deal parallels an earlier sale of two sister ships.
The so-called Sdari-4600 designs are wide beamed at 37.3m and are fitted with 600 reefer plugs. The pair are on charter to Cosco Shipping and Sea Lead Shipping of Singapore until the middle of next year.
