Tropical Storm Henri nearing hurricane-strength as it approaches US east coast
USCG urges all mariners to prepare before predicted landfall on Sunday.
Tropical storm Henri is approaching the US east coast and is predicted to make landfall on Sunday. The NOAA NWS National Hurricane Centre says winds are nearing hurricane strength, with gusts to 70 mph.
Henri will hit southern New England tomorrow evening and the USCG is urging mariners to prepare for storm conditions.
Storm surge and hurricane warnings have been issued for Long Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Nantucket, Marth’s Vineyard, and Block Island.
