New York Aims to Lead Offshore Wind Development with Major Investment

A major announcement was made from the state of New York as they recently announced an investment of $500 million into offshore wind development.

Kathy Hochul, the New York Governor informed that this investment coincides with the 2022 State of the State which is for the offshore support and development for ports, manufacturing and other supply chain infrastructure.

Governor Hochul stated, “With this investment, New York will lead the nation on offshore wind production, creating green jobs for New Yorkers, and powering our clean energy future,” She continued. “I am proud to make New York a leader in offshore wind and renewable energy. We must harness the potential of offshore wind to fuel our economy forward and meet our ambitious climate goals.”
