New Shipyard Opens at Kenya Navy Mtongwe base in Africa
Operations Begin at New Shipyard in Kenya
On December 17 President Uhuru Kenyatta officiated the opening of the new Kenya Shipyards Limited (KSL) facility, a new and more modern shipyard at the Kenya Navy Mtongwe base in Mombasa.
This new facility which is seeking to obtain maritime hub status as it’s more modern, has the capacity to handle vessels up to 4,000 tonnes and will include a 150 meter long, 30 meter high hanger and another 120 meter long, 20 meter high hanger for shipbuilding.
