Video: SCA releases promotional video of Ever Given salvage operation
The Suez Canal’s governing body has sought to highlight its achievements with a Youtube video.
The SCA has released a Youtube video showcasing its contribution to the salvage of the Ever Given, the ULCS that blocked the Suez Canal for six days in March.
“The Suez Canal authority has assumed full responsibility in dealing with the grounding crisis of the…Panamanian-flagged container ship ‘Ever Given’ since the incident took place,” the canal authority said in the video.
The PR effort comes as the SCA and the owners of the Ever Given, Shoei Kisen, spar in the courts over who was to blame for the grounding, with both parties holding the other accountable.
The Ever Given is currently being held in the Great Bitter Lake as the SCA seeks damages and salvage costs in excess of $900m.
