More Ships on the Way Set to Clog West Coast Port Congestion Further
Backlog at US West Coast Ports Continues to Climb
Between the two Southern California ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach there is a record 80 container ships waiting to berth. After a report recently released by Bloomberg’s Port Congestion Tracker was updated as ships are beginning to stretch out into the waters even further, it shows a whopping total of 112 vessels.
Vessels loaded with goods coming from Asia are already en route to the West Coast ports which is expected to make the global shipping crunch even worst.
