The Nicola Faith: MAIB says sunken vessel “of significant interest”
The UK’s Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) says it may have found the wreck of the lost fishing vessel, the Nicola Faith.
The MAIB has announced that it has found a sunken vessel “of significant interest” in its search for the lost fishing boat, Nicola Faith.
The wreck was found in the Colwyn Bay area and a notice of direction to prohibit access has been issued:
“The Chief Inspector of Marine Accidents has issued a ‘Notice of Direction to Prohibit Access’ around the wreck requiring that the wreck be left undisturbed until further notice, pending further investigation by the MAIB.”
The wreck is located at 53°20.019’N – 003°41.876’W
