Man Falls 60ft into Ship Hull
Injuries Reported After Man Falls into Ship Hull in New Orleans
A high-angle rescue was successfully completed on October 12 by the New Orleans Fire Department in Louisiana after a longshoreman plunged 60 feet into the ship hull.
Reports of only a broken arm were discovered after the fire crew was able to inspect the scene. The worker was able to communicate as he was fully conscious and aware.
Due to the technical aspect of the rescue, it took 23 dispatched personnel to conduct the rescue completely due to the high angle.
