Viking Line’s new flagship to enter service in early 2022
Eco-friendly ferry will depart Stockholm every evening and sail via Mariahamn to Turku in Finland.
Viking Lines has announced that its new flagship, Viking Glory, will enter service in early 2022 on the Stockholm-Åland-Turku run, with capacity for 2,800 passengers.
The company says the new ferry will be one of the most “climate-smart” vessels in operation and will feature a liquified natural gas power plant and energy efficient systems designed to minimise environmental impact.
“We can’t wait to welcome our guests on board the new Viking Glory. The interiors, especially in the conference venue, are tastefully decorated, and outside an unparalleled view opens up of the most beautiful archipelago in the Baltic Sea.
“Naturally, we have equipped the vessel with cutting-edge technology and flexible solutions so that our customers will be able to use the premises in the best way possible,” says Stig Pernell, intendant on Viking Glory.
