ONE forecasts $6bn profit for first half of 2020
Container giant riding high on 2021 freight turnaround.
Ocean Network Express has reported a 1,432% increase in profits for H1 in 2021 over the same period last year and its revenues for the first quarter have leapt 111% to $5.78bn.
The company says it is expecting even greater results in the current quarter ending on 30th September and expects to post a $6bn post-tax profit for the first half of the year.
“Whilst the current demand is rapidly increasing, the excessive strain on the entire global supply chain triggered by operational restrictions resulting from Covid-19 pandemic still remains,” ONE commented.
