Wan Hai Containership Experiences Power Failure
The United States Coast Guard responded to a call from a Wan Hai Lines vessel- the Wan Hai 176, on April 8th, after the vessel lost power several miles off the coast of Point Reyes, California and was unable to anchor due to sea conditions.
Three tugboats arrived on Saturday morning but could not tow the Wan Hai 176 due to the rough seas however, the vessel was eventually able to anchor with success approximately seven miles from California’s coast.
No injuries or pollution have been reported.
