US Navy Sub in South China Sea Strikes Unknown Object
US Submarine Strikes Mysterious Object Underwater
On October 7 US military officials expressed that while underwater in the South China Sea on October 2, a US Navy Fast-Attack vessel struck an unknown object.
There appeared to be no damage to the submarine and no life-threatening injuries were recorded, however approximately 10-15 crew members did incur bruises and lacerations during the incident.
The sub is currently en route to Guam to undergo further inspection yet all is working well while on the continued voyage.
US Navy officials expressed, “The submarine remains in a safe and stable condition.”
