Crew of 7 Rescued Amid Rough Seas in Taiwan Strait
On October 28 Lucky, a Sierra Leone-flagged general cargo vessel was apparently anchored in the Taiwan Strait and taking on water in the rough seas.
The Coast Guard was deployed to the area to rescue the 7 crew-members aboard, 2 Indonesian and 5 Burmese Nationals, in fear of the ship sinking.
The ship was towed and the crew-members were relocated to Taichung Port in Taiwan where they underwent Covid-19 quarantine protocols to be sure all were healthy.
No injuries were reported.
