VIDEO: Ship Loaded with Scrap Metal Catches Fire

A Turkish-flagged vessel at Ploce port in Croatia mysteriously caught fire while loading scrap metal on October 20 which resulted in multiple firefighters being called to the scene.

At the time of the incident the cargo ship Mehmet Unlu was moored and was being loaded with cargo of scrap metal since the day before.

Although it still continues, investigators believe either oil or fuel may have been on the scrap metal pieces and somehow ignited while loading.

The fire was distinguished and no injuries were reported.
